Right from the beginning of human civilization many great philosophers have pondered over the purpose of human life. Lot of scientific research also has taken place in search of the welfare of human beings as well as all forms of life on this earth. Our parents give us birth but the earth gives us everything to nourish us and sustain our lives- be it food, water, air or the congenial social environment. Our scriptures have called the earth as our mother and we all are her progeny. In that sense all the living on the earth share a brotherly relationship with each other. Hence, the main purpose behind establishing this society is to nurture the thoughts and actions that are supportive for the welfare of the living and the non-living beings on this earth & to work for developing equality, brotherhood & justice. For this to work on social, educational, economic, cultural & spiritual development.
Re-discovering India's agricultural benefits with the Prithvi Foundation
On Monday, Dr Sheela Taori and Mr Kamal Taori visited the offices of Asian Voice during their month long visit of the UK. Dr Sheela sat down to speak with us about the Prithvi Foundation, a public private panchayat partnership based in Delhi for the past 10 years.
Dr Taori has been a teacher for most of her life and conducted teacher training who strongly believes education changes people. She took up teacher eduction as a mission and a passion. Her owes her strong background of science and Sanskrit to her teachers and parents, especially her father. Due to this she has a strong faith in the traditions of India and its ancient history.
